Our Community

Our Community

Tavistock is a quaint little community between Stratford, Shakespeare, and Woodstock. Our local arena, community centre, pavilions and parks are host to many sports teams, arts groups, and community organizations.

Our community has supported Tavistock Community Health since its beginning.
We're fortunate to not only work amongst these engaged residents, but also to be located centrally to many amenities. We don't have to go far to enjoy food, shopping, culture, sports, and picturesque parks and landscapes within Tavistock and these surrounding cities:

The picturesque city of Stratford is situated on the beautiful Avon River in southwest Ontario, Canada, and is home to Stratford's iconic swans. People from all over North America visit the Stratford Festival to enjoy Shakespearean plays in the multiple theatres throughout the city, including the main stage on the Avon River. There's something for everyone in Stratford, from beautiful gardens to art displays on the river and in the Gallery Stratford.

Kitchener-Waterloo, Kissing Bridge

Museums, Parks, and the Grand River are just a few of the sights in Kitchener-Waterloo. The dynamic culture and rich history make it hard not to fall in love with a bigger city. Spend some time at the kissing bridge, if you dare. Or dine in one of the many unique restaurants in Uptown Waterloo. On the cutting edge of technology and home to the world's most innovative university, the Kitchener Rangers, and Centre in the Square, boredom is abolished in KW!

London, Ontario

A one hour drive south west of Tavistock will land you in the midst of festivals, music, art, and theatre. London, Ontario is home to Western University Canada, from which we teach and mentor talented medical students. Located on the Thames River, both beauty and entertainment is plentiful in London.

Known as the Dairy Capital of Canada, the city of Woodstock is just south of Tavistock. A quick exit onto the 401 makes it easy to travel to and from Woodstock. With a population of over 40,000 people, shopping and dining are plentiful in this "Friendly City."
